DEPORTED U.S. VETERANS TURN IN JULY 8TH 2016 HUMANITARIAN PAROLE ACTION

EVENTS ORGANIZED IN TIJUANA, MX , SAN DIEGO & NATION’S CAPITAL

On Friday July 8
th 2016, A group of Deported Veterans of the US military, their supporters, families and communities will ask for Humanitarian / Medical Parole into the United States at the San Ysidro entry point. Also calling on President Obama to end the policy of deporting veterans who have served the country faithfully. Deported veterans living in Mexico will join veterans groups and Latino communities in Tijuana , Mx , San Diego , Washington DC,

Our Resolution

Calling for the INA to recognize Non-Citizen Veterans to be recognized as U.S Nationals (retroactively)

Since 1996, the United States Government has deported thousands veterans who, as legalized citizens, joined the United States Armed Forces and served proudly in wars such as Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan in both combat and peacetime. They have been and currently are being deported to 25 plus countries around the world that they or their families immigrated from. Of those that there has been contact with, all had legal residency status, Veterans Administration (VA) Benefits as well as strong ties to the United States through family members and their own lives and service.

Hector Barajas, who is currently Director of the Deported Veterans Support House in Tijuana, Mexico. “If President Obama really wants to honor veterans, he will also honor our service by stopping the deportation & repatriation of loyal members of the military and people who risked their lives for this country. President Obama can remedy this situation by issuing an executive order ending the practice of deporting veterans, something that has bipartisan support.”
